Ocon: "We are prepared to take advantage of every opportunity that comes our way"

Esteban Ocon's first win came completely unexpectedly, but the winner of the Hungarian Grand Prix has had a few weeks to let it sink in.

"It feels very real now. I didn't expect to go into the weekend in Belgium as the latest race winner," the Alpine driver gloated in front of Speedweek.com. "The timing was perfect as I've spent the last few weeks relaxing with family and friends and now it all feels very real."

Ocon hopes for outside chance in Belgium

Of course, he would love to repeat the stunt he pulled off with Fernando Alonso at the Hungaroring at Spa-Francorchamps, but the 24-year-old Frenchman is keeping both feet on the ground. "We now have to concentrate on the rest of the championship, which continues in Belgium. We enjoyed the triumph in Hungary and of course it would be great to repeat that success, but we have to remain realistic."

"We are definitely going to do our best to get a good result," he continued. "The weather could get interesting, but regardless of whether it's dry or wet: we're prepared for anything, to take advantage of any opportunity that arises," Ocon said.
