According to l'Equipe, head designer at Red Bull Adrian Newey no longer be the designer at Red Bull. Newey, seen by many as the best designer in the game, is to be replaced by Pierre Waché.

Newey himself nominated Waché to take over for him, as he's from the team Newey was a part of.

"I know what this position means," Waché states in l'Equipe, "and I know the risks. I'm not going to say that I'm scared by it, but I know what is expected of me. I'll show what I'm capable of."

Waché also will make sure he won't be a carbon copy of the former head designer.

"Newey emphasized aerodynamics, but I'll be more concerned how to generate more downforce."

Newey wasn't involved until later last season, when most of the damage had already been done and Red Bull were far behind Ferrari and Mercedes. The Milton Keynes-based team managed three wins later in the season. He's the only person ever to win the constructor's title with three different teams, and has a total of ten (!) constructors titles.
