Jos Verstappen: "It is exactly what Max needed"

Jos Verstappen is happy with the progression that Red Bull Racing and Honda have made this winter. Max Verstappen took his fourth pole position of his F1-career and it gives good hope for the rest of 2021. Jos doesn't want to be too optimistic though.

"There has only been one qualifying session. That's why you have to stay careful," Verstappen sr. said in a conversation with Auto Bild. At the German medium, the former Formula 1 driver cites that Mercedes and Hamilton have dominated the last seven years in the pinnacle of motorsport. "We know what Lewis and Mercedes are capable of," he said.

Perfect start for Verstappen
