Silverstone hit hard. "It's a disgrace."

The Silverstone circuit (England) is a popular circuit among drivers. Also this season everybody is happy, that this historic circuit can be found on the calendar of 2020. Because of the corona-pandemic the season is of course not as normal. And that the Silverstone circuit has also been hit hard financially, Silverstone boss Stuart Pringle can explain perfectly.

"It's going to put our company back some five years in terms of balance sheet position. It's a disgrace. After five and a half years of really hard work, and then seeing our company fall back to the brink," says Pringle disappointed at Motorsport.com.

Organize 12 GPs?

After the Formula 1 season got into trouble because of the pandemic Silverstone offered to organize not 1, not 2, not 3 but 12 GP's without an audience! Driving a race at Silverstone the other way was not an option in that case.
