Albon on pressure: "I’ve got a bit more experience under my belt"

Alexander Albon doesn't look very strong yet in 2020, he came on the podium in the GP of Austria due to a good strategy, but was caught up with Lewis Hamilton. In the GP of Styria Albon was far behind teammate Max Verstappen. Albon says he can go with the pressure because he focuses on himself.
Focus on yourself
"It’s more about self-expectation. It’s al about focussing on yourself, because as everyone knows that’s what gets you your seat and what keeps you there", Albon said in an interview with GQ Magazine.
"So just focussing on the process. I know that I’m in my second year now, so I feel I’ve got a bit more experience under my belt and a bit more confidence. There’s no real trick to it, just getting on with it", explains the Red Bull Racing driver.
Relaxing off the track
According to Albon, it is also nice to be able to relax between races. He calls his humour a big part of relaxing and calls it 'a way to change your mind'.
"It’s nice having other drivers who are similar to me, with Lando [Norris], George [Russell] and Charles [Leclerc], kind of just messing around. It’s good fun. Obviously, once the helmets go on it’s a bit more serious, but we can afford to have a bit of a laugh outside the circuit", Albon ends.
