Kimi Raikkonen is not known as the greatest speaker in Formula 1. The Finn prefers to keep it all as short as possible, so he can quickly get back to the journalists. However, sometimes he provides nice answers.

Raikkonen cursed new McLaren

Heikki Kulta is the Finnish reporter on duty in Formula 1 and has known Kimi since the young Finn debuted in Formula 1 in 2001. Raikkonen is not a man of many words, but will never, ever lie. Kulta soon found out when he had to interview Raikkonen for the official magazine of McLaren, for which Raikkonen drove in 2004.

''They had just been on the track to test the new MP4-19 for 2004 and he came off the track, so I asked him to go. ''It's totally sh*t'', came out of Kimi's mouth, but of course it was hard for me to include that in that magazine. I made him hope for more, but Kimi was right in the end'', says Kulta in the official Formula 1 magazine.

When do you have to interview Kimi?

''The worst time to interview Raikkonen is after a race or qualification in which it didn't go as he had hoped. In that situation I often don't ask him anything. In other cases you have to make sure you're at the front, because if you're the last in line he's out of energy and his answer won't help you'', says the Finnish reporter.

Kulta himself often opens with a joke to get Kimi to talk, but the interviews on Thursday and Friday really don't like Kimi. ''They ask me the same question as on Thursday. On Thursday I still don't know how the car drives on the track, so that's a waste of my time'', Raikkonen says.
