It seems increasingly likely that the Grands Prix of Bahrain and Vietnam will be postponed. Earlier, reliable source Auto Motor und Sport reported that the two events are off in wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

Just two hours before the start of free practice one in Australia, F1 announced the cancellation of the race weekend. It seems as if we'll get an earlier response ahead of Bahrain's race on March 22.

Coronavirus

More and more sources report that the races of Bahrain and Vietnam are cancelled because of the COVID-19 virus. Bahrain is already on the agenda for the next weekend and the first Vietnam Grand Prix is scheduled to take place on April 5.

No races until Azerbaijan

The official announcement is not yet in progress. Liberty Media and the FIA are due to make a statement later today. If the races are postponed it would mean that the Grand Prix of the Netherlands is the next on the calendar. Although several sources say that in addition to Vietnam and Bahrain, the Grands Prix up to Azerbaijan will also be cancelled.

This includes both the Dutch and the Monaco Grands Prix.
