Windsor: “Verstappen will do very well this year”

Aston Martin Red Bull Racing and Max Verstappen are full of confidence for the 2020 Formula 1 season. The team are confident both Verstappen and themselves can push Lewis Hamilton, Valtteri Bottas and Mercedes right from the start of the season. Marko hopes to make Verstappen the youngest F1 world champion ever, something which needs to be done in 2020. 

Good chance

Renowned F1 journalist Peter Windsor, says in a new vlog on his YouTube channel that he estimates the chances for the Dutchman to be very high.

“The driver that I think he will do very well this year is Max Verstappen. I think he has a really good chance of winning five or six races this year. Red Bull and Honda are getting better and better. It was super reliable, we saw during the tests," Windsor said. 

This assumes that the team and Verstappen have grown a lot in the past period, which emphasizes Windsor even more: “Max is developing exponentially as a driver. He made very few mistakes last year and he knows how to bring a car home in third place if that's what he should do."

A fantastic driver

“I can't wait to arrive in Melbourne and watch Max. I would like to see him in a fast turn, I prefer him on cold tyres or when it is wet next to the racing line. I don't think it will be very wet next to the line, because no rule has been predicted. I want to see Max on the verge, it's a fantastic driver to watch," Windsor concludes
