Mercedes, Red Bull Racing, AlphaTauri, Williams, Renault, McLaren and Racing Point made a joint statement to the FIA. The teams are not happy with how the FIA has acted on the allegedly illegal Ferrari engine of 2019.

"We, the undersigned teams, were surprised and shocked by the statement of the FIA of Friday 28 February regarding the conclusion of its investigation into the Scuderia Ferrari Formula 1 power unit," write the teams in a statement that has also been sent to all the press. "An international sports regulator has the responsibility to act with the highest standards of governance, integrity and transparency."

The Formula 1 stables do not like the fact that the international motorsport federation is not transparent. "After months of research carried out by the FIA only in response to questions from other teams, we strongly object to the FIA reaching a confidential settlement with Ferrari to conclude this case."

Finally, they write: "Therefore, we hereby publicly declare our joint commitment to full and correct disclosure in this matter, to ensure that our sport treats all competitors fairly and equally. We do this on behalf of the fans, participants and stakeholders of Formula 1. In addition, we reserve the right to bring an action before the FIA and the competent courts as part of a fair trial."
