Flavio Briatore has once again demonstrated his frustrations with Ferrari following the Monaco Grand Prix. Scuderia improved, with Sebastian Vettel taking second place, but that doesn't make Briatore feel much better.

The former boss of Benetton and then Renault didn't manage to get his hands on Ferrari during his career. But the Italian has plenty of passion for the Ferrari team.

The Italian media has been super critical of Ferrari during the 2019 Formula 1 season. Briatore visited the Italian radio 1 'un Giorno da Pecora' to discuss his thoughts following the Italian Grand Prix. To start with, he focuses on the issue from Saturday's qualifying session. Ferrari decided to keep Charles Leclerc in the garage, but that proved costly.

"No, no and no, I would never have made such a mistake. My son had not even done it. Monte Carlos is a circuit that changes in seconds, the speed increases, you have to keep the drivers out," Briatore said.

The Italian also commented on the general situation of Ferrari. Having said in April that the Scuderia problem was that the car was very slow, he now points out that what happens to the team is that their rivals have taken bigger steps than they have. The Italian only hopes that they can get out of this pit quickly.

"Ferrari is not slow, it is that the others have become stronger, even Red Bull. There is a problem with aerodynamics, let's hope they can solve it," he said. Would he really want that, or would he prefer to take over Binotto's position himself?
