On Friday, Williams announced Sir Patrick Head will make his return to Williams in a technical consultancy role. Rookie driver George Russell believes Head's return is exactly what the team need as they continue to have troubles at the back of the grid.
Head, a co-founder of Williams, walked away from the British team in 2011. Since then, Williams has slipped down the grid and last year experienced their worst season in Formula 1.
Russell finished Friday's FP2 session three seconds behind timesheet topper Sebastian Vettel and is closer to P18 compared to results in Australia last time out. The Brit insists the appointment of Head will be great for Williams.

“I think it’ll be great honestly. He’s only coming in on a support role, it’s not anything full-time, but with his presence, he’s a very strong character with a lot of personality and it’s maybe what we need at the moment. I think for all of his experience and history he has at Williams just having him around will lift everyone,” he told Sky Sports.
