The Saudi Arabia Grand Prix did not go down in history as a classic, mainly because of another very dominant Red Bull Racing that managed to grab a convincing one-two. The Austrian team managed to do the same in Bahrain a week earlier. Sceptics fear that at the head of the field - as in 2023 - it could become quite monotonous. Neutral fans are probably hoping for more excitement.

Most eyes are on Ferrari, which came closest to Red Bull in the opening races of the season. After the race in Jeddah, Frederic Vasseur, the Italians' team principal was asked whether another year of Red Bull dominance would be detrimental to the sport? "Yes, but if we are able to have the same improvement as we had last year, it's encouraging that," the Frenchman responded.

"And honestly, I'm focused on the team. I'm focused on the fact that we have to develop the car. And even if one weekend we are in front of Red Bull, I will keep the same approach, try to do a better job the week after. That it's not because that we are P1, P2, P3, that you have to stop or to develop more. That we are in full push and we will continue with the same approach."

Vasseur sees encouraging signs at Ferrari

In Jeddah, Charles Leclerc qualified alongside Verstappen on the front row, but in the race he could not make a fist against the Red Bull. Still, Vasseur
is positive. "It's clear that they have still an advantage on us and that we have to continue to develop and to push. But I think it's a clear step forward today. It was already a good sign last week in Bahrain. It's a clear step forward today and it's very encouraging for everybody and it's the best way to get everybody fully motivated," Vasseur said.
