Christian Horner is only too happy that the conversation is back to racing. After all the gossip surrounding the rumours, Horner was ready to focus again on racing. So he told GPBlog, among others.

Asked if Horner finds it a relief that the talk of the day, mainly about race cars again, he responded the following: "Well, it's wonderful to be answering a racing question, but it's what we're here to do. It's why we're all here, is to go racing. I'm sorry that it wasn't a more entertaining race for you today, but that is the result of the team doing its job and producing an incredible car."

Horner acknowledged that not every race this season would go as simply as this one: "Now, we have a sample of one race. I have the feeling that the field is going to concertina this year, so I don't think you can take anything for granted out of this one race on a specific surface, specific conditions."

Red Bull in a different universe

According to Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff, Red Bull was "in a different galaxy". Horner really doesn't want to draw that conclusion yet: "I've been in this business too long to draw too many conclusions from a single race. It's a fantastic start. We enjoy this moment, a maximum point score, but it's a long season with many different venues, different challenges, and different conditions."
