Force India's Esteban Ocon would be all for an F1 comeback of Dutch circuit Zandvoort, as the Frenchman has raced at the beachside track in his DTM days and has positive memories there.

Zandvoort used to be an F1 track way back when, with the last Grand Prix there being in 1985 (which Niki Lauda won). Now, the track still hosts things like DTM and GT series, or a special event where Max Verstappen entertains his home fans to a show in some older Red Bull F1 cars along with Daniel Ricciardo and David Coulthard.

Recently, talks of a comeback have picked up a lot of steam, with reports even coming out that the F1 management has made an offer to the circuit to host a Grand Prix there from 2020 onwards.

Ocon would embrace this idea, even though it's unsure whether he would actually be part of the F1 grid at that point.

"It's a very cool, old school track," the 22-year-old told the Dutch branch of Motorsport.

"It would be amazing to drive there with the Formula 1, we would go incredibly fast there."

However, the Frenchman did remark that overtaking would be very difficult at the technical track.

"It's tight, so overtaking is very hard. In DTM I had DRS, but even then it was hard. And with those cars you can drive much closer to each other than in F1."
