Helmut Marko responds to allegations of Horner's inappropriate behaviour

After Hamilton's switch to Ferrari was announced last week, the next bomb is already about to burst in the Formula 1 world. Red Bull Racing team boss Christian Horner is suspected of displaying cross-border behaviour. Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko refused to say anything about the case.

After several years of success, everything seemed to be going well at the Austrian team. Horner has been involved with the team all this time and is the longest-serving chief executive in Formula 1. Red Bull have said it is taking this behaviour very seriously and has launched an independent investigation into the matter. Horner himself completely denies the allegations. Rumours say Horner was even asked by the team to volunteer to resign, but he refused. It is unclear exactly who or what is behind the allegations.

Helmut Marko's Reaction

Red Bull is not releasing anything substantive about the investigation or the allegations. Even Helmut Marko, who is normally very outspoken, does not want to say anything about it. In a telephone conversation with Motorsport-Total, he said only: 'I am not saying anything about that'.
