With the promotion of Ayao Komatsu to the position of team boss - succeeding the departed Guenther Steiner, Haas F1 have created a problem shortly before the start of the new season. After all, who will do the operational work? The Japanese boss is mainly focused on the technical side of the job. Haas F1 has taken immediate steps to find a right-hand man for Komatsu: a vacancy has been posted, and you can apply for it.

Until recently, Komatsu was the Chief Race Engineer at Haas. The Japanese engineer has the required technical knowledge. But the position of team boss requires more than technical knowledge. You also have to organise the team and the short-and long-term strategy, for instance. In the past, Steiner also did this, but that is changing.

Vacancy for Chief Operating Officer

The team's website has revealed Haas are looking for a Chief Operating Officer (COO). A job advert states that the new man or woman will work on strategic leadership and operational management with the team boss. They must have a vision of how to shape the team's goals. Implementing these plans - including financially - will be a task of the new COO.

Anyone can apply for the position, but you must already have at least 10 years' experience in a management role within Formula 1. Interested parties should be warned, though: the position requires you to handle high-pressure situations while remaining logical in your thinking!
