Verstappen is spending Christmas on go-kart track with Piquet family
It's Christmas, the days most people spend with their families. So does Max Verstappen. This weekend the Dutchman was in Brazil with his girlfriends family. And even during the Christmas period, the triple world champion is still busy racing.
Christmas on the kart track for Verstappen
On Saturday, Verstappen was present at kartodromo Brasília Kart in Brasilia. His girlfriend Kelly Piquet's family was also present. There was a joint race on the circuit, and Verstappen had to start last. Things almost went wrong at the start, as Verstappen got off to a good start and almost ran into the karting staff. His good start came in handy though, as Verstappen managed to win the race.

However, Verstappen did not win on every level. In fact, the karting centre where the race took place decided to make it a challenge to improve on the Red Bull driver's fastest time. Rodrigo Piquet, a nephew of racing legend Nelson Piquet, managed to improve the lap time by half a tenth of a second. If only that doesn't become a battle over Christmas dinner.
