After many rumours, it has been clarified by Formula 1 teams that no team has said anything to the FIA about the link between Toto Wolff and Susie Wolff. There were stories that the Mercedes team boss had allegedly given confidential information to Ms Wolff. Christian Horner says Red Bull had nothing to do with this in any case.

Horner on case of Toto Wolff and Susie Wolff

"We have a big rivalry [with Mercedes] on track but we haven't raised any official complaint either about Susie or Toto or Mercedes to the FIA," Horner told Sky Sports. "Red Bull has been the team that has got most involved with F1 Academy since its inception, to the point that between the two Red Bull-owned teams, we'll be entering three cars in 2024. So we've been working closely with Susie, who's been doing a great job on F1 Academy."

"So I think we, like others, were quite surprised by the statement that came out last night," the Red Bull team boss continued. "It certainly wasn't instigated or required or set off by Red Bull."We've not raised any official complaint or made any requests to the FIA or to FOM."

Horner, who recently turned 50 years old, celebrated his birthday after the Formula One season. Many famous people from the sports and music world came over, including Formula One legend Bernie Ecclestone. However, the Mercedes team boss was not to be found there because even though they respect each other, there is no real friendship yet.
