Max Verstappen was not happy with the big party in Las Vegas and said he looked like a clown. He did not quite like the big show surrounding the US GP event, and F1 analysts at Sky Sports noticed that. Martin Brundle said he was disappointed.

The Las Vegas GP started exuberantly with a grand opening ceremony. The first official session of the weekend was less successful. A loose manhole cover created an unsafe situation, causing FP1 to be cancelled. Are the organisers' priorities wrong? Or does the show have little to do with safety? In any case, Max Verstappen does not care about the show.

Brundle disappointed with Verstappen

Brundle discusses Verstappen's attitude with former F1 champion Jenson Button on Sky Sports: "If he [Verstappen] doesn't like it, I'm not sure he needs to say anything at all. I'm a bit disappointed with that because standing on a roster and coming up and waving a lot of adulation from the fans, it's not the worst job in the world, is it? It's not that difficult. You're not on the shipwork or down the mines or something. So I don't understand why he feels so negative about it."

Button responds more resignedly: "I'm surprised that he was so outspoken. But that's the way Max is. He wants to go racing. And that's all he wants to do, it seems. But there are other parts to this, as we all know. The racing is the fun bit. We get paid for all the other stuff."
