Qatar Grand Prix full results | Verstappen takes wins at Losail with ease

Max Verstappen took advantage of the pole position that he took in qualifying on Friday in what was a simple for the Dutchman. At the start, there was an incident between the two Mercedes drivers, but the Red Bull driver narrowly avoided that crash. All in all, it was a very successful weekend for Verstappen in Qatar.

While the Qatar Grand Prix was pretty much plain sailing for Verstappen, this was definitely not the case for Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton. After he and his teammate George Russell hit each other at turn one, the seven-time world champion's W14 flew off the track. Sergio Perez's race was also troublesome, as he exceeded the track limits, forcing him to wait in the pit lane for five seconds twice after track limit penalties.

That conditions were tough for the drivers was also evident during the Grand Prix. Logan Sargeant, for instance, retired after 40 laps after he had fallen ill. Together with drivers Hamilton and Carlos Sainz, who never started the race, he joined the retirements of the Qatari Grand Prix.
