Leclerc amazes public: Ferrari man crushes competition on karting track
Racing blood runs where it cannot go, including for Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc. The five-time Grand Prix winner took part in a kart race while on holiday and drove the entire field to smithereens, writes Gazetta dello Sport.
Leclerc competed with seven other drivers, including his younger brother Arthur, in an evening race at a Sardinian kart track. To make things fairer, the Monegasque started at the back, although that was not long-lasting. The Ferrari driver drove everyone to pieces and was back in the lead after just four (!) corners. Within a lap, the entire field was already far behind!
F1 drivers seek out go-kart track
It is clear that Leclerc cannot let go of racing while on holiday. Even on the kart track, he managed to amaze the crowd again with his speed. The Ferrari man is not the only Formula 1 driver who appeared on the karting track. Fernando Alonso too could not go longer than two weeks without a fast lap.
