Red Bull Racing is dominant in 2023. The team of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez has won all six races so far, including the sprint in Baku. Toto Wolff does not want Red Bull to be slowed down, as it "destroys the sport" according to the Mercedes team boss.

Mercedes is once again trailing in 2023. As in 2022, the German constructor is not competitive enough for victory and even reaching the podium is difficult for Lewis Hamilton and George Russell. Mercedes is even slower than customer team Aston Martin this season.

Wolff discusses dominant Red Bull

Red Bull has been the dominant team in Formula 1 since about halfway through last year, but Wolff does not think anything should be done about that by the organisation. "If we start putting in a balance of performance we will ruin this sport," Wolff told ESPN.

"If you break the rules in either you should be heavily penalised but only then but not for doing a good job. "The car [Red Bull's] is fast in all conditions, the driver is at the top of his game, even in Monaco going off at times but not DNF-ing is a skill. You can see that he pushed, so all credit to them."
