Horner on DRS adjustments: 'It's gone a bit too far'

Christian Horner has spoken out about the adjustment of the DRS zones. After already reducing the DRS zone in Baku, the FIA has decided to do the same in Miami. Of the total three DRS zones on track in Miami, only the DRS zone at start-finish remained unchanged.

"The DRS got cut by 100 metres and maybe it just went a little too far. Maybe it needed to bring it back maybe 50 metres because it was very static throughout the grid when you looked at it." said the Red Bull Racing team boss at the press conference in Miami.

The DRS zone after turn nine now starts 105 metres after the corner instead of 67 metres last year. This means drivers have 38 metres less DRS at their disposal. "It was surprising. The track that's usually relatively straightforward to pass at suddenly did become much harder. And maybe that reduced DRS zone played a part." Horner said.
