Sebastian Vettel decided to turn his back on Formula 1 after the 2022 season. There is a chance that the four-time world champion will return to the pinnacle of motorsport, although it is not expected to be as a driver. Ted Kravitz does see Vettel replacing Helmut Marko at Red Bull Racing in the future.

The 79-year-old Marko is still enjoying his time at Red Bull, but internally things have changed within the Austrian group following the death of Dietrich Mateschitz. Oliver Mintzlaff has been put in charge of sporting activities at Red Bull and Marko does not seem to be getting along with him very well. Marko revealed that he does not have a "friendly" relationship with Mintzlaff and also said that he can quit his F1 role at any time.

Vettel has often been linked with the position of advisor at Red Bull. The German himself held off the boat a bit for now, stating that he was not worried about his future at the moment and that first and foremost he wanted to enjoy his family.

Vettel back in Formula 1?

Kravitz tells Sky Sports about the Vettel/Formula 1 combination. "We may well see a surprise comeback of Sebastian Vettel this year, but it won’t be as a driver. I truly believe he has decided not to drive anymore and as a man of integrity, as I know he is, I don’t think he is going to disappoint everybody by going ‘ahh, do you know what, I wasn’t sincere in that, here we go, I am coming back as a driver’."

What the options are for Vettel? “Possibly Audi, maybe, but I kind of think he will come back to Red Bull. I think he will replace Helmut Marko, that is more likely. As the sort of motorsport advisor," Kravitz said.
