Young Williams driver Oliver Rowland believes that the new 2019 front wing could make drivers change their style.

Oliver Rowland thinks that the new front wings coming to F1 in 2019, could force F1 drivers to rethink their driving style.

F1 are set to introduce new aerodynamic regulation tweaks for next campaign in an attempt to lower the amount of dirty air being made from the rear of the car in front, and this should allow the driver to follow the car in front of them more closely and increase the chances of overtaking.

Force India and Williams were a couple of teams who experimented with the new front wings in Budapest testing.

Williams junior driver Rowland tried it out on the opening day of #Budatest and he believes that drivers will have to rethink their style of driving with the new front wing.

"I think maybe it could do yeah (change the style of driving)," Rowland told Crash.net.

"People will maybe have to change their approach a little bit on the rest of the car, so it will be whoever catches up with that side first."

Rowland completed many laps for Williams in the testing but he is adamant that there isn't too much difference when racing with the front wing.

"You don't feel so much difference," Rowland explained.

"Maybe a slight difference in balance but that's it. I think that will depend from car to car in what they will get in terms of flow.

"It looks a bit different and it was quite colourful at one point but when you've got the sensors and stuff on the car you can't really take it to its limit. The team needs to see for next year what's doing what. It was interesting for them."
