Esteban Ocon wants to put the Bahrain Grand Prix behind him as soon as possible. Speaking to Sky Sports the Alpine driver addresses the dramatic start to his season and the trio of penalties he received during the race.

Ocon had a difficult race in Bahrain. The Frenchman quickly lost two places and risked falling outside the points. That in itself could have been saved, were it not for the fact that Ocon received no less than three different time penalties in the course of the race.

First of all, Ocon got a five-second time penalty for being out of place at the start of the race. Next, he got a 10-second time penalty for not carrying out his first penalty correctly, and finally he got another five-second penalty for driving too fast in the pitlane. Finally, he was brought in by the team and the car was parked.

'Usually we are very good at this'

Definitely not the start Ocon had hoped for, then. The Frenchman elaborated on the situation after the race, although he mainly hopes that he and the team can learn something from it.

"I don't want to go into details, but usually we are very good on all these operational things," the Alpine driver responded. "What we've done today, we've done it the same way I've done the last five years, but today it has been different. We need to analyse, we need to see what happened, and come back stronger from it."
