The Azerbaijan Grand Prix has been voted as the best race so far in a poll on the official Formula 1 twitter account. The Baku race picked up 62% of the vote and came up against the British Grand Prix in the final.

The German Grand Prix lost out to the Silverstone drama in the Semi-Final. While Daniel Ricciardo's Chinese victory lost to Azerbaijan in the earlier match.

So what made the race around the streets of Baku so good?

The Red Bull crash sparked it all off! Ricciardo ran into the back of Max Verstappen after a tense few laps of racing. This resulted in a double retirement.

When the safety car came in, Bottas was leading. Sebastian Vettel dived up the inside attempting to take the lead but ran wide and dropped back to 4th.

Seemingly, it was all over. But no. The leading Finn drove over some debris which gave him a puncture. He was forced to drop back and Lewis Hamilton took his first win of the season.

Miraculously, Sergio Perez made it onto the podium for Force India. That's the only time a driver outside the top three teams has made it onto the podium this season.

And to add to it, Charles Leclerc and Brendon Hartley picked up their first ever F1 points.
