Job van Uitert will be back in the European Le Mans Series again this calendar year. Together with his team Panis Racing, which broke the news with a press release, he will try to at least match last season's performance. In that, among other things, he almost managed to win the 24 Hours of Daytona.

The Dutchman additionally managed four podium finishes in six races in the ELMS in 2022, qualifying for the 24 Hours of Le Mans with Panis Racing. It was reason enough for 24-year-old Van Uitert to extend his contract.

"It gives me great pleasure to announce that I get to drive for Olivier Panis' racing stable in the upcoming ELMS season as well," he stated. "I feel incredibly comfortable with this team. The atmosphere is top notch and the results are corresponding. We finished second last year, which is obviously particularly strong given the competitiveness of the ELMS, but for this year we want to be even better. Becoming champion is obviously the goal."

Panis happy with Van Uitert retained

Team manager Olivier Panis, who has a past in Formula 1, is very excited about the contract extension: "Our ambitions are clear: this year we want to win! In recent seasons, we have shown steady progression, to the point where we captured the 2022 vice championship. Our team, which is under the daily management of Simon and Sarah Abadie, consists of a group of intelligent engineers, led by Florent Gouin, who know exactly how the Oreca 07 works best."

Panis Racing does say goodbye to Julien Canal and Nicolas Jamin, who were Van Uitert's teammates. Dutch driver Tijmen van der Helm and Venezuelan driver Manuel Maldonado will be tasked with replacing them.
