Relatives of Johan Cruijff congratulate Verstappen on 14th win

Max Verstappen has received congratulations from Johan Cruijff's family. With his victory in Mexico, Verstappen has won 14 races in one season. On Twitter, the family congratulated him with a picture of Cruijff and his legendary back number fourteen.
Verstappen himself may not be much concerned with the statistics of his career, but the rest of the world certainly is. By winning in Mexico, Verstappen holds the record for most wins in a single season. And while of course seasons these days have more races than those in the past, it is still hard to deny that it is an amazing achievement by the now two-time world champion.
Johan Cruijff's family thinks so too. The legendary Dutch footballer, who passed away in 2016, played almost all his matches with the back number 14, which his relatives cited on Twitter. The congratulations are accompanied by a beautiful picture of a young Johan Cruijff congratulating Verstappen, with the text above: "A legendary number for two Dutch legends".
Incidentally, Cruijff and Verstappen have also met before. In 2016, just a few weeks before his death, Cruijff visited Verstappen at the Barcelona circuit. Verstappen managed to win his first race that weekend, becoming the youngest ever race winner.
