Lewis Hamilton feels that Mercedes is on the way back. The driver is convinced that it will be possible to fight for wins again in the near future, although in an interview with Formula1.com that his team's behaviour will then be important.
A seven-time world champion, Hamilton has already experienced a lot in his career. He was therefore not at all shocked when his team's performance was down this season. Hamilton decided to turn the knob quickly and worked hard with Mercedes to find a solution.
"The hill that we have to climb is huge," Hamilton explained. "For us, it’s important to imagine it as the biggest, steepest, toughest mountain you can climb because if you think it’s going to be a normal hill, you underachieve. You’ve got to think it’s the hardest climb you can imagine, which means you have to dig deep."

According to Hamilton, it is therefore important to communicate well with the team how the car feels. After all, the British driver knows that this helps him work towards a car he feels comfortable in and can perform well with as quickly as possible.
