'It would be a dream to see Schumacher driving at Audi'

Timo Glock hopes Mick Schumacher will get a chance at Audi in the future. According to the former F1 driver, it would be a dream to see a German driver drive for Audi in Formula 1.

Schumacher is fighting for his place in the sport in the final races of the 2022 Formula One season. The seat at Haas is the last unfilled spot for next season and Schumacher is still hoping to convince the management of his qualities. In Mexico, the VF-22 was just not good enough to come anywhere near points.

Chance for Schumacher

Should Schumacher lose his place at Haas, the gaze may soon turn to 2024. Although Audi will only supply the engines for Sauber's team from 2026, it cannot be ruled out that the partner would like to see Schumacher driving one of the cars as early as 2024. As such, that seems like the best chance for a Schumacher in F1.

''Audi could be a realistic chance for Mick. There are still a few years to go before Audi is really there. But of course that can be an issue. It would be a dream if a German driver like Mick were to start with a German manufacturer,'' Glock concludes in his column for Sky Germany.
