Fernando Alonso has reacted after he received a 30-second penalty for driving a car in unsafe conditions during the United States Grand Prix. The penalty came about following a protest by the Haas team.

After the United States Grand Prix, US team Haas did not resign itself to the result. The stable submitted a protest to race control. As such, the Spaniard was penalised 30 seconds for letting go of his mirror, dropping to 15th place.

The American racing stable has been put on the spot along with the Alpine team. Next Thursday in Mexico, both teams may appear before the stewards and will be told whether Alpine's protest will be upheld. If this happens then there is a chance that the result of the US Grand Prix will be reversed again.
