With the situation that developed last night about Her Royal Highness the Queen's death at the age of 96. It was no surprise that the paddock had a more sombre feel to it, as the British and commonwealth influence was shown. Christian Horner, who had met the Queen on a few occasions got the chance to speak to Sky Sports, and reflect on the life of the former monarch of England.

Horner who found out the news yesterday evening as so did the rest of the public described it as "a great shock for everybody, the whole nation" he continued "when you think of the UK, you think of the Queen... 70 years is just an unbelievable achievement".

Although describing the mood as "sombre" the Red Bull team principal went on to say "We should be celebrating. You know what she did for our country", he then brought it back to motorsport "Monza this morning was extremely moving".

Multi-21 Remarks

It was common knowledge that the Queen was a fan of Formula 1, she was present at the first ever British Grand Prix, and Sky Pundit Simon Lazenby even said "she was aware of the multi-21 (situation)" which take place in 2013. Christian Horner recounted that by saying "I remember being invited to a lunch Buckingham Place by herself and Prince Phillip. and it was very few of us there. and obviously, she had been well briefed and she asked me... What's going on with your drivers? Why don't they get on?" Horner concluded his marks on the Queen "She got a sense of humour as well which should be sorely missed. Just tremendously sad because she's been the stability for such a long period of time"
