Both Gasly and Hartley turn to twitter to express feelings after Monaco practice

Both Toro Rosso drivers turned to Twitter after yesterday's FP1 and FP2 sessions to confirm how pleased they were with their car. Whilst not making any serious indents to the top 10, Hartley ran 6th in 1st practice for a fair amount of time. 

Hartley finished 11th and 12th in practice whilst team-mate Gasly finished 14th in both sessions. Toro Rosso will be pleased with this result on the Monaco track as they look to challenge for points in Sunday's race.

Despite the fact the street circuit is an engine leveller, it will provide the team and drivers with much needed confidence. Brendan Hartley has recived a fair bit of fire going into this weekend but he's answred his critics well. 

“In terms of performance, I think straight away we were in the top 10 on the Hypersoft," said the New Zealander

“We finished the morning P12, but running on the harder compound tyre which looked positive.

“In the afternoon, I was 11th on the Hypersoft which is promising, it’s very close to the cars ahead and also the cars behind.

“We’re definitely in the fight, and the goal has to be Q3."
