The Azerbaijan Grand Prix was won by Max Verstappen, but most of the attention on Monday morning is focused on Ferrari's failure. In the international media, everyone is criticising the Italian team.

La Gazzetta dello Sport - Italy

'Ferrari, what a blow,' the Italian sports newspaper headline reads after the Grand Prix in Baku. The pink newspaper dives into the pain of Leclerc's second retirement and there is even talk of waving the white flag and thus giving up. A pole was lost for the fourth time in a row and Red Bull is running further and further away after a slow start to the season.

Bild - Germany

At the German Bild, the bigger picture is being looked at. Indeed, not only did both Ferrari drivers drop out, but also Kevin Magnussen and Guanyu Zhou, with Ferrari-powered cars, failed to finish. 'Four bitter dropouts for Ferrari in Baku,' is Bild's view.

Marca - Spain

The Azerbaijan Grand Prix was an easy win for Verstappen, according to Spain's Marca. According to the sports newspaper, Verstappen had no competitor at the Baku City Circuit, while Ferrari is slowly bleeding to death. It now makes Verstappen the clear favourite for the world title, according to Marca.

The Guardian - England

It was a disastrous day for Ferrari, according to The Guardian after the Azerbaijan GP. After the festival of errors in Monaco, now both drivers dropped out with car problems. Where Red Bull crashed out several times in the beginning of the year, Ferrari seems to have taken over now. The question is whether the Italians can turn the tide.

L'Equipe - France

A double victory for Red Bull Racing in Baku, with which Verstappen has taken revenge according to the French sports newspaper after he crashed out with a blowout from the lead of the race in 2021. Red Bull is thus the clear winner of this weekend, where Ferrari sees the chance of a world title slip from its hands.
