Max Verstappen is happy to be back in Australia and is looking forward to the race at the Albert Park Circuit. The adjustments look interesting according to the Dutchman. It will be another fight with Ferrari though.

Two years in a row the Autralian Grand Prix was missing from the calendar. F1 is back in Melbourne and the circuit has been modified. Not only has the layout changed, but there are also no less than four DRS zones. In short; a lot of spectacle is expected. Verstappen is also happy to be back. In conversation with Viaplay he discusses the new track and the fight with Ferrari:

Trade-off between corners and DRS

"It will take some getting used to after two years. We have to look closely at the grip on the new asphalt. I am looking forward to it. I think the changes will help. We'll have to see how we do in Turn 1, 3 and 6. But we have four DRS zones on the other side. If those corners don't do it then at least we have those DRS zones."

So the revamped track makes the balancing act very interesting. The DRS provides a high top speed on the straights, so an extra high rear wing can help in the fast corners. Verstappen: "I think in general Ferrari has a better top speed. We opted for a different wing position in Jeddah. But all in all, we're in good shape." Remarkably, then, Verstappen thinks the Ferrari engine runs faster than the Red Bull Powertrain.
