Haas can be reasonably satisfied after two Grands Prix. With twelve points ahead of Kevin Magnussen, the American racing stable is in fifth place in the World Championship. However, it is not yet enough for Guenther Steiner.

Last season, Haas experienced a lost year. Due to the new regulations of 2022, the racing stable decided to shift the focus and thus take for granted that it did not obtain a single point last calendar year. Nikita Mazepin and Mick Schumacher thus finished in last place in the standings.

Haas has ambitions this season

This season, however, everything should be different. Haas said goodbye to Mazepin because of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and brought a new driver into the team with Magnussen. It turned out to be an excellent choice, because Magnussen managed to score points directly in the first two races. Nevertheless, Steiner still has some things to wish for.

"The biggest drawback is our lack of time to work with the car," states the team boss in conversation with Speedweek.com. "We went into the tests with a backlog, then we had problems with stability. I think we can make the biggest step forward by just refining the set-up. There's still a lot more in the car."
