At Red Bull Racing, the mood is currently optimistic. In Saudi Arabia they achieved their first pole position and their first victory. In the championship, they won their first points, because after the double DNF in Bahrain, the Milton Keynes team needed this result. In points they are therefore almost equal to Mercedes.

Far ahead is Ferrari, with four podium finishes in two races. For Red Bull, it is already quite a step that they are now close to Mercedes. In the coming races, Red Bull will probably pass Mercedes in the championship, because the German team is still facing a lot of problems. They are suffering from the porpoising effect on their car and have not yet found a clear solution, Helmut Marko also sees.

Within the team, George Russell currently seems more comfortable with seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton. According to Marko, however, it is too early to say that Russell is performing better than Hamilton. "No, Russell is not at Hamilton's level yet. Lewis completely screwed up in Bahrain, and since then he's been struggling with the set-up and getting the tyres into the right temperature window," the Red Bull advisor explained in conversation with Österreich.

How it is that Hamilton has not yet got his setup right, Marko himself does not know. According to him, it could be due to many factors. "Many things play a role, such as tyre pressure, wear and so on. Of course, the feeling of the drivers is also important. And we know what we have in Max. He is expensive, but he is worth every cent," Marko concludes.
