The Saudi Arabia Grand Prix was another one to savour. With a nerve-racking duel between Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen, the newspapers had something to write about on Monday morning. We take a look at the reactions of the international media after the GP in Jeddah.

La Gazzetta dello Sport - Italy

Last week there was a big party in Italy after a 1-2 for Ferrari and that mood is still there. The pink sports newspaper does speak of revenge for Verstappen, but also sees that Ferrari remains very strong. ''Verstappen has taken revenge, but Ferrari and Charles Leclerc look stronger than ever.''

At Gazzetta, they especially see a different fighter's mentality at Ferrari than has been the case in recent years. ''Even after he was overtaken, Leclerc didn't lose heart and went for another attack. The bad luck with the yellow flags prevented him from launching an attack. However, for Ferrari, this is still a great start.''

Sky Sports - England

The duel between Verstappen and Leclerc was also enjoyed in England. 'Verstappen beats Leclerc in dramatic duel' the British sports media headlines. Attention was also paid to Lewis Hamilton, who according to Sky was unlucky with the late virtual safety car under which he was not allowed to enter the pits.

Bild - Germany

'Champion worthy', the German Bild headlines with a shot showing Verstappen passing Leclerc. The reigning world champion has won a race for the first time in 2022 and with it the first time since his 2021 world title. The German medium saw the Red Bull driver shine again and show why he is a deserved world champion.

Marca - Spain

Spain's Marca runs all over the place with Verstappen after his victory in Saudi Arabia. ''Verstappen is one step ahead of all other drivers in Formula 1 right now. He is the unbeatable world champion'', is how the Spanish medium opens its report on the race, after already talking in the title about the fact that Verstappen beat Leclerc.

L'Equipe - France

At the French L'Equipe, the main focus is on the 'magic tricks' towards the end of the race. The largest newspaper in France is of course referring to the duel for the DRS, in which Verstappen and Leclerc both braked to let the other pass on the straight. L'Equipe speaks of a "magnificent duel" between the bantams of Ferrari and Red Bull Racing.
