Lewis Hamilton is not the only driver who was disappointed with the race in Abu Dhabi, since Lance Stroll also said that he was not happy with the way things were handled during the season finale.

During the last few laps, race control decided that the cars that were between Hamilton and Max Verstappen needed to go past the safety car.

Furthermore, the Aston Martin driver had just gotten new softs, but he didn't get the chance to use them due to the FIA's decision. Half of the cars were allowed to overtake the safety car, but he was among the half that had to stay behind. As a result, he couldn't really do anything.

Rules are changed just like that

Stroll doesn't understand why the race committee thinks they can change the rules whenever they want to. The former Racing Point driver understands that the race committee wanted to see a battle between the seven-time world champion and the Dutchman, but he does not understand that the race committee decided to change the rules in this occasion. The 23-year-old driver believes that the rules should be consistent and that was clearly not the case in Abu Dhabi. "It's important that these things are set in stone. The rules are the rules and we can't change or modify rules for entertainment," he told The Race.
