According to Peter Windsor, Lewis Hamilton would do well to enjoy the upcoming season and let the pressure fall off. Only then can the backlog that Windsor previously attributed to him be undone.

In an earlier video on Hamilton, Windsor expressed his opinion on the backlog Hamilton would have in the upcoming season. The former Williams team manager stated that Lewis had to deal with the defeat of 2021, but also have to deal in 2022 with a Max Verstappen who is even more confident after his world title and also a new teammate in the form of George Russell.

Opportunity for Hamilton

According to Windsor, this is a great disadvantage for the Briton, but in a new video, he also sees the solution. ''The solution to all of this, is for Lewis to adopt Stirling Moss' approach. That's basically saying 'I've got seven world championships, if I win one more it's brilliant, but most of all I'm very happy that I can still race at the top of my game and race at Mercedes'.''

According to Windsor, this would be the way forward for Hamilton, but it remains to be seen whether Lewis can actually commit to this. The seven-time world champion stood for his motto "Still I Rise" for years, and it's hard to settle for anything less than gold with that statement now. Officially, however, we still do not know if Lewis will actually return in 2022, as he himself has not yet let us know anything about it.
