Marko and Horner form a strong team: "We coordinate well"

Earlier today it was announced that Christian Horner will stay at Red Bull Racing until 2026. Helmut Marko is full of praise for the team boss who has been with Red Bull since the beginning.

"We coordinate well. We determine the direction of the team together and also that of our employees. On political issues we usually speak the same language and I think our success proves that we are right", Marko tells Austrian broadcaster ServusTV.

Together, the two became world champions four times in a row with Sebastian Vettel and achieved success again with Max Verstappen in 2021. So it's not surprising that the team boss will stay at Red Bull for the next few years.

Marko acknowledges Horner's abilities

"I already knew him from Formula 3000 and other junior classes and knew of his ambitions and abilities. Now something great has come out of that", Marko says of bringing Horner in.

After the confirmation of Horner, the team will now be busy with the contract of Verstappen. The Dutchman already announced that he wants to stay with Red Bull for a long time. The team is currently busy with contract negotiations.
