Max Verstappen was the fastest man on track during the second free practice for the Mexican Grand Prix. The Dutchman was about half a second faster than both Mercedes drivers. Verstappen is satisfied with the second practice session.
Although both Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas were faster than Red Bull in the first practice session, Verstappen manages to beat both men in FP2. In front of the Sky Sports camera, he talks about his Friday.
Verstappen improves over the course of the day
"In FP1, the track was very dirty so FP2 it was a bit nicer," says the 24-year-old Limburger. "The car is working well, but there are still things to look at."
Verstappen is then asked how much more there is to get out of the RB16B. "It's always difficult to tell. We are never happy we always try to improve. We have a good feeling but tomorrow we need to be there. It's a positive start to the weekend."
