It almost ended in disaster when he misjudged Ocon's speed at the final safety car restart but in the shadow of Sergio Perez, Lance Stroll was allowed to return to the podium. That is for the second time this season.

"Amazing race for the team. A part of me is disappointing that I could have won. After the pitstop I ran wide and Esteban got past me then I locked up into turn 4 and Sergio got me and I never had the pace from there," Stroll said.
"Super happy for Sergio.. he has a couple of races to go with the team and he has been up there for so long and finally gets the win."
