McLaren deserved Monaco result - Seidl

It was a successful weekend for McLaren at the Monaco GP and Andreas Seidl believes their performances were rewarded, but he is staying grounded as the team look ahead to Canada.

The McLaren pair of Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris finished in sixth and 11th respectively at the race in the Principality and it helped them lock down their position as best of the rest. The team are now 13 points clear of Racing Point in fifth.

Reflecting on the teams best result of the season so far Andreas Seidl paid tribute to the entire work-force at the garage and at the race.

“Thanks to the entire team for a clean and well-executed race,” said Seidl as quoted by The Chequered Flag.

“This result strengthens our fourth place in the Constructors’ Championship, which is a good reward for all of the hard work by everyone trackside and back at the factory."

With the Canadian Grand Prix just a week away their attention now turns to there and getting both drivers in the top ten.

“Everyone stays ultra-focussed for Canada where our aim is to have both cars in the points after Lando missed out by one place on his Monaco Grand Prix debut.”
