Raikkonen gets away relatively well with high speed spin and crash

In the second free practice session of 2021 the drivers started to push the limit of their car for the first time. Kimi Raikkonen found that limit in one of his first laps of the session, not long after Nikita Mazepin also had spun.

Mazepin did so at Turn 7 and had enough runout lane there to continue with a set of square tires. Raikkonen was less fortunate. He lost control coming out of Turn 2, slid through the gravel trap and lost his front wing in the tire stacks.
