To penalise Hamilton points or places would be grossly unfair. It should be a financial penalty much like the one given to MV after he touched the rear wing of the Mercedes, and proportional to the severity of the event. €500 000 should do it.20-12-2021 07:43

Sanction should be MV has to qualify for the opening 2022 race in LH's Mercedes, If LH is as good as you claim, then he will have pole and MV will be nowhere to be found.20-12-2021 07:54

Sir Jackie Stewart to you. A gentleman of note. I had the great pleasure of meeting him at Kyalami decades ago and he an Humble man. No bragadocio there whatsoever. And he isn't a racist either. Stop insulting a worthy champion. As for Ecclestone, no comment.19-12-2021 08:27

If the FIA sees fit to hand out fines of €50 000 for touching a rear wing, then a €500 000 Euro fine would not be amiss for missing the compulsory prize giving ceremony by Lewis. Toto did not have to be present as a senior Mercedes team member was present in his place. He should however receive an equal fine for bringing the sport into disrepute.19-12-2021 08:17

Sir Lewis Hamilton is quitting the sport. He held a 45 at Toto's head but did not deliver ... so is Mercedes getting a refund of his fees? Lewis, retire mate before George shows you up.16-12-2021 17:02

Reminiscent of SA's recent municipal elections? The ICE was the real winner there too. And good thing it was so.15-12-2021 06:05

Fully agree with you but would go a step further; Fine Mercedes for bringing the sport into disrepute. Mercedes post race actions are abominable. Toto Wolff is nothing but a bully. Masipa must grow some balls and deal harshly with Horner and Wolff for the sake of the sport. I have been watching F1 since 1974 and I have seen all the greats in action - I even met Fangio in 1995 - bit I have never seen prima donas like the current bunch of drivers, excluding Vettel and Alonso.15-12-2021 15:03

Fully agree. There is a culture of complaining that started with the drivers demanding action from their team principals. The FIA is to blame because it has allowed this insidious practice to develop. And both RB and Mercedes have taken advantage of this practice. Stewards say should be final and teams should be fined for laying complaints. And leave Masi alone, he has a difficult job to do.15-12-2021 14:32
