As exciting and eventful as Formula 1 was going into the summer break, it started the second half of the season just as badly. On the circuit of Spa-Francorchamps, there was a qualifying session, but on Sunday the F1-fan had a hard time. The cars came out for a handful of laps behind the safety car and that was it. Formula 1 could use a good weekend.

Difficult Sunday at Spa

And let that race weekend take place at the Circuit de Zandvoort. A circuit that is sometimes jokingly compared to Monaco because it is almost impossible to overtake, especially after the FIA decided to remove the DRS in the Arie Luyendyk corner. Is another boring weekend in store for us?

Formula 1's CEO Stefano Domenicali is taken to task by Motorsport.com the wire, and he's asked if he's worried about potential overtaking issues. "So far, no. Let's hope for a nice race for all the fans of Formula 1, after what was a difficult Sunday for everyone," the Italian reflects on the deception in Belgium.

Lots of orange shirts

Domenicali adds that he is looking forward to finally racing on Dutch soil again: "The expectations are high because we are going to a place where we will undoubtedly see a lot of orange shirts. It is a new event that is being looked forward to with great excitement."
