Weather update Bahrain: Sandstorms move towards the track
Formula 1 has been lucky with the weather conditions so far this weekend. Friday was a beautiful day and although the wind started to blow on Saturday, it was still doable. On race day it turns out to be a different story.
The wind has increased considerably and is now blowing from the northwest. Here in Western Europe we don't lose any sleep over this, but in the desert this means that a lot of sand is blowing into the air. Journalists on the way to the circuit have already experienced this.

Back wind makes certain turns difficult
The wind is coming from the same direction as yesterday's qualifying. The drivers suffer from it when they have the wind in their back. This means that especially in turn 2, 10, 11 and 13 they have to be careful that the rear of the car doesn't break out.
