Another indication that Alpine's black livery could be here to stay
Alpine were the first to present their new livery for 2021 a few weeks ago. At least, their 'temporary winter livery', as they called it themselves. This almost completely black car was not well received by journalists and fans at the time.
At least not yet. Last Friday the team's first truck in the black livery appeared at the Renault factory near Paris. This could of course be a one-off 'wrap' just like the car, but on the other hand it is a lot of effort for a livery that will hardly ever be used.

Renault was also predominantly black
Although one still expects a predominantly blue car for the official Alpine colour scheme, it is more and more likely that black will be part of it. Renault did the same in recent years.
The French manufacturer had an all-black testlivery several times in recent years and much of that black stayed with the official colour scheme. If you looked at the Renault of 2020 from a certain angle, you could hardly detect any yellow in it and the cabs of the trucks were black as well.
